Our Mission
It is our mission to take people on a personal journey toward complete devotion to Jesus Christ.
Who we are
We are a
multi-generational congregation who want to encourage people to join us in our
walk with God. We feel that individual journeys of faith can only be
successful when we have the support and encouragement of others who have walked
the path we are taking. We are committed to growing in our devotion to
Christ and in helping others do the same.
What we believe
We believe the bible is the divinely inspired word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and is our all-sufficient and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The attributes of God include holiness, righteousness, love, omniscience, omnipresence, sovereignty and immutability.
The Person of God the Father is presented in Scripture most frequently in connection with His relationship to God the Son. The Father sent the Son, raised the Son from the dead, exalted the Son to His own right hand and made the Son both Lord and Christ. God the Father is also the Father of the followers of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God the Son. Through His virgin birth, true humility and undiminished deity are forever united in one holy, sinless Person. Jesus Christ voluntarily laid down His life as a substitute, shedding His blood for all humankind. His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven demonstrate that He is Lord of all. He is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our advocate with the Father.
God the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He is the Comforter sent by the Lord Jesus to abide with and indwell His people. He unites every believer to Christ in one body by Spirit baptism. He seals each believer unto the day of redemption and instructs them. He gives spiritual gives to the Church for the common good.
Man was created by God, in God's image and capable of intimate fellowship with God, but by disobedience became a slave of sin. Because of sin, all human beings are liable to eternal punishment and totally unable to save themselves.
Salvation is entirely a gift of God's grace, given freely to all who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The believer is forgiven and born to eternal life by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, and is kept by the power of God, secure in Christ forever. As a new creature in Christ, the believer is no longer a slave to sin, but may still sin. Forgiveness and cleansing are given to the believer upon confession of sin.
The church is
composed of all persons who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and
is under the direct authority of Jesus Christ, who is the only Head of the
Church. God's manifold wisdom, in accordance with His eternal purpose
in Christ Jesus, is demonstrated through the Church. The Lord Jesus
Christ sanctifies and cleanses the Church, and will present to Himself the
church in all her glory, holy and blameless. The church witnesses for
the Lord Jesus Christ until His imminent, personal return to take His people
to eternal blessing in His presence.

We are a community of Christ followers, sharing life together in committed relationships within the context of small groups. We are continually challenged to act with grace, forgiveness and accountability as we relate to one another. We will strive to be unified as we commit to gentleness, peacemaking, humility and love. This commitment will go beyond the church and will radically transform how we respond to our family, our spouses, our communities and our place of employment. |

We desire to understand both our culture and human need, and communicate relevantly to both. This means that we will foster an atmosphere of creativity, adapting our methods to effectively communicate the timeless reality of God. |

|
We strongly affirm that Jesus Christ is the very center of our relationship with God and the source for all our lives. We seek to remember His gift of salvation in our worship, in communion, in baptism and in our preaching. We will try to imitate Him in the way we live our lives in serving others. |

We are committed to a biblical framework for all that we do. We will hold the Bible up as the final authority for every area of our life and ministry. |

We desire to foster an atmosphere that focuses on our heart intimacy with God as the means to a changed life. For that reason, prayer must permeate everything that we do, and be the driving reality behind all of our ministry. We will also try to encourage that same dependence as the means for personal wisdom, strength and vision. |
|
Colossians 4:2-6, 1 Timothy 2:1, Deuteronomy 6:5
|
|
We desire to live real, authentic lives marked by personal integrity, open honesty and collective accountability. Rather than hide behind masks, we will strive to be up-front about our struggles, temptations and pain. |
|

We seek to imitate God's commitment to creative excellence in our programs, worship and presentation of God's Word. We feel that God is honored when we do things to the best of our ability. |

Colossians 3:17,23, 1 Chronicles 25:6-8

We reflect God's grace when we reach out in mercy and kindness to people around us. We also recognize that spiritual freedom is not easily won and must be diligently maintained if we are to live as Christ asked us to. |

|
We reflect the heart of God as we care for those who are poor, rejected, lonely and abused. Reaching out in compassion, challenges our pride, enlightens our prosperity and magnifies our voice. |
